Drake University is a co-educational, private university located in Des Moines, Iowa. It was founded in 1881. It has a campus stretching across nearly 150 acres of urban land and grants admission to more than 3,000 students every year.

Drake provides on-campus housing for 1,784 of its 5,915 (full-time) students (as of 2009-2010). The school requires freshmen to live on campus.

Students may purchase a meal plan which includes 21 meals weekly.

Athletics

School sports include football (Pioneer Football League), basketball (Missouri Valley Conference), baseball (), and track (Missouri Valley Conference).
