Overview

Drew University is located in Madison, New Jersey, United States. It was established in 1867 and was originally known as the Drew Theological Seminary. It adopted its present name in 1928. The College of Liberal Arts was also established in the same year. The Graduate School, which is the third degree-granting unit of Drew University, was established in 1955. It is known as the “University in the Forest.” The university campus spreads across an area of more than 180 acres in Madison. The campus is also home to the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey. It is organized into the following academic divisions:

  • Caspersen School of Graduate Studies
  • College of Liberal Arts
  • Drew Theological School

Drew University includes more than 50 active student organizations and clubs. Some of these organizations are the Comic Book Club, Amnesty International, Drew Environmental Action League, Drew University Habitat for Humanity, French Club, Middle East Student Association, Robert Smith Political Science and Law Society, Women's Concerns Club, and Catholic Campus Ministry.
