Overview
Duquesne University of the Holy Spirit is a private, Catholic university located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. It was founded as Pittsburgh Catholic College of the Holy Ghost by members of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit, Duquesne on October 1, 1878. The college became a university in 1911. The campus is spread across an area of over 50 acres.
The University hosts international students from more than 80 different countries. U.S. News and World Report's annual college rankings place Duquesne in the top tier among national universities. The university offers various degrees and programs through the following academic divisions:
