Overview

Dutchess Community College is a two-year community college, located in Poughkeepsie, New York. It was established in 1957. The college is associated with the State University of New York system. The campus of DCC is spread across an area of more than 125 acres. DCC offers associates degrees in more than 55 programs.

‘Chronicle’ is DCC's student-run newspaper. Some of the student clubs and organizations at DCC are the Business Club, Emergency Services Club and Phi Theta Kappa. Notable alumni of DCC include Meteorologist Kelly Cass, Dutchess County Executive William Steinhaus and Actor Bill Duke.
