Overview

Eastern Connecticut State University was established in 1889. It currently offers more than 30 undergraduate major programs and over 50 undergraduate minor programs. The University offers courses through three schools:

  • School of Arts and Sciences
  • School of Education and Professional Studies
  • School of Continuing Education

The Institute for Sustainable Energy provides education on sustainable energy. Eastern Connecticut State University sponsors over 60 student organizations. Its athletic teams are nicknamed the Warriors. Along with the main Willimantic campus, the university has a branch campus in Vernon.
