Eastern New Mexico University, Ruidoso branch is a part of the Eastern New Mexico University, which was started in 1934. Also abbreviated as ENMU, the university has other campuses at Portales and Roosevelt County. The ENMU, Ruidoso branch was established in 1991 and became a part of the ENMU in 2005. It is a two year college offering education in career, and technical oriented areas.

ENMU Ruidoso branch offers the students with associate’s and certificate degree programs in areas of study such as business administration, computer technology, criminal justice, emergency medical technician, and nursing assistant programs. The college also has facilities for online certificate and instruction programs.

ENMU Ruidoso has a student advisory center, which offers a range of services for the students such as a campus bookstore, library and media center.
