Overview

Edgecombe Community College, commonly referred to as ECC, is located in Tarboro, North Carolina, United States. It was founded in the year 1967. The college's former name was Edgecombe Technical Institute, and it was an extension of Wilson County Technical Institute. ECC's main campus spreads over an area of approximately 120 acres. It has another campus located in Rocky Mount. In addition to degree programs, the college also offers distance education opportunities to students. ECC is organized into the following academic divisions:

Edgecombe Community College hosts a variety of student clubs and organizations including the Student Government Association, Student Nurses Association, Radiologic Technology Society, Human Services Organization, Phi Theta Kappa, and ECC Ambassadors.
