Overview

Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine is located in Blacksburg, Virginia and was founded by Marion Bradley Via and her son Edward Via. Commonly known as VCOM, the college is a four-year medical school that specializes in providing education related to the field of osteopathic medicine.

VCOM offers a doctoral program in osteopathic medicine, with courses in information technology, anatomy and neurology. The college also has a special simulation and technology center.

VCOM has an active student life, with a number of special interest groups present on campus, including the American Medical Women’s Association, the Anesthesia Special Interest Group, the Internal Medicine Club and the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine.
