Overview

Ellsworth Community College, located in Iowa Falls, Iowa, is a two-year community college. Founded by Eugene S. Ellsworth in 1890 as a private business college, the school grew into a four-year college, a music conservatory, and then became a public junior college. It was eventually attached to the Iowa Valley Community College District.

Ellsworth Community College offers career/technical degrees and diplomas designed to teach vocational skills to students through hands-on training. It also offers associate of arts degrees for those who intend to transfer to four-year colleges.

Ellsworth Community College is a member of National Junior College Athletic Association and sponsors athletic teams in football, basketball, golf, wrestling and baseball, among others. The college also participates in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Division I & II.
