Overview

Elon University, established in 1889, is a private, liberal arts university located in Elon, North Carolina. The university was founded by the Christian Church and was originally known as Elon College. The college gained the status of a university on June 1, 2001. Elon University's campus covers an area of more than 550 acres. The colleges under the Elon University are:
