Fairleigh Dickinson University-Metropolitan Campus

Fairleigh Dickinson University, also known as FDU, is an American, private university founded in 1942. It is the largest private university in New Jersey. The university has two main campuses. The Metropolitan campus, located close to New York City, is home to many of FDU's business, professional, science, and health care programs. The student body at FDU's Metropolitan campus is diverse and ethnic. It enrolls students from more than 60 countries, and the international students comprise over 20% of the student population.

The Metropolitan campus features a Rothman Center which has facilities for basketball, tennis, racquetball, and volleyball. There is ample parking space on campus and it is also close to several bus and train stops.

Fairleigh Dickinson Metropolitan provides on-campus housing for 982 of its 5,102 (full-time) students (as of 2008-2009).
