Overview
Farmingdale State College was founded in 1912 as the New York State School of Agriculture on Long Island. Prior to adopting its present name, the college was also known as the Agricultural and Technical Institute at Farmingdale. It is situated on Long Island in East Farmingdale, New York. The college currently offers more than 30 academic programs. It is divided into the following academic schools:

- School of Health Sciences
Farmingdale State College has several student clubs and organizations, such as the Architectural Construction Technology Club, Asian Student Alliance, Anime and Videogame Club, Phi Theta Kappa, the Student Nurses Association, Science Fiction Club, Horticulture Club, Computer Technology Club, Sigma Beta Delta, Business Club and Golden Key International Honor Society.
