Overview
The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising, a co-educational private college, is located in California and is also known as FIDM. Apart from the San Diego campus, it has three other campuses in Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Francisco in California. It offers associate’s and bachelor’s degrees in business management, graphic design, apparel manufacturing management, beauty industry merchandising and marketing, fashion design, and interior design.
FIDM has many student organizations including the American Society of Interior Designers, the Alumni Association, the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society, The Cosmopolitan Student Alliance, Student Council, and the Set Decorators Society of America. The institute offers financial aid to students. Students can pursue the FIDM’s Annual National Scholarship, but there are several other scholarships offered by the DECA/ DEX Distributive Education Clubs of America, FHA - HERO/ Future Homemakers of America, and the FBLA/ Future Business Leaders of America.
