Overview
Fisk University was originally established as the Fisk School in 1866. On August 22, 1867, it was incorporated as Fisk University. The institute sits on a 42-acre campus in Nashville, Tennessee. More than 800 students enroll in Fisk University every year.
A large number of undergraduate and postgraduate programs are offered by Fisk University. Students can choose from courses in the fields of art, biology, business administration, computer science, English, mathematics, nursing, religious studies and Spanish, among others. Pre-professional programs in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, dentistry, engineering, teacher certification and business administration are also available.
Alpha Phi Alpha, Alpha Phi Omega, Omega Psi Phi, Phi Beta Sigma, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Pi Sigma Alpha, Sigma Eta Chapter, Sigma Gamma Rho, Delta Mu Delta and Zeta Phi Beta are some of the Greek organizations at Fisk. Other associations include the African Students Association, the Environmental Club, the International Students Association, INROADS Student Organization, Wake The Fisk Up and the Women of Perfection.
