Overview

Established on February 4, 1984, Five Branches Institute is located in Santa Cruz, California. The institute derived its name from the five branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine- acupuncture, herbology, Tuina massage, qigong energetics and Chinese dietary medicine. The university offers master’s and doctoral degree programs in acupuncture and oriental medicine. It offers certificate courses in massage therapy and continuing education. The institute operates an additional campus in San Jose, California.

Five Branches Institute offers externship clinic training programs in association with community clinics. Practitioners provide healthcare treatment to patients at the Santa Cruz campus. The institute also offers career counseling and job placement assistance.
