Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, commonly known as Florida A&M or FAMU, is located in Tallahassee, Florida, United States. It is one of institutions in Florida's State University System. The campus is spread across an area of 419 acres. Florida A&M University offers more than 60 bachelor degrees in over 100 majors. Housing and Meals

Florida A&M provides on-campus housing for 2,374 of its 10,678 (full-time) students (as of 2007). The school requires freshmen to live on campus.

Students may purchase a meal plan which includes 19 meals weekly.

Florida A&M Athletics

School sports include football, basketball, baseball, and track. Florida A&M is in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference for major sports.

Florida A&M offers financial aid for athletes. Of students receiving athletic financial aid, 110 male students received the aid (men were 61% of those receiving aid) and 70 women were awarded financial aid based on athletics (representing 39% of students receiving such aid) .
