Overview

Florida Gulf Coast University is a public four-year university located in Fort Myers, Florida. It was established in 1991 by then-governor Lawton Chiles. The main campus is spread across an area of more than 750 acres. It also operates three other satellite campus locations in Naples, Cape Coral and Charlotte. FGCU grants associates, bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees. It is organized into the following academic units:
