Florida International University is a public research university located in Miami, Florida, founded in 1965. FIU is the youngest university to be awarded a Phi Beta Kappa chapter by the Phi Beta Kappa Society. Athletics

School sports include football, basketball, baseball, and track. The school is in the Sun Belt Conference for major sports.
