Fordham University, also referred to as Fordham, is a private, coeducational, Catholic university located in Bronx, New York, United States. It was established in 1841 as St. John's College. In 1907, it received its present moniker. The University, along with all the campuses, stretches over more than 200 acres of land.

Fordham AthleticsSchool sports include football (Patriot League), basketball (Atlantic 10 Conference), baseball (Atlantic 10 Conference), and track (Atlantic 10 Conference). Fordham offers financial aid for athletes. Of students receiving athletic financial aid, 170 male students received the aid (men were 59% of those receiving aid) and 119 women were awarded financial aid based on athletics (representing 41% of students receiving such aid) .
