Overview

Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing, FSMFN, is a private, graduate school in Hyden, Kentucky. FSMFN was founded by the Frontier Nursing Service (FNS) in 1939. FSMFN’s academic offerings include a Master of Science in Nursing, an ADN to MSN Bridge, a Post Masters Completion, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). DNP was included in the program offerings in 2007. FSMFN also provides distance education courses to outstation candidates.

Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing offers numerous scholarships to those who are eligible including the Kitty Ernst Scholarship, the Berea College Appalachian Fund Scholarship, the Margaret Ferguson Scholarship, and the Betty Lou Johnson Scholarship. FSMFN students can also apply for Federal Unsubsidized Stafford Loans and Federal Stafford Loans.
