Fullerton College

Fullerton College or FC was founded in 1913 as the Fullerton Junior College. Later in 1972, the college adopted its current name. It is the oldest community college in California, which is operating continuously. In its first year in 1913, the college enrolled 28 students. Presently, FC covers more than 80 acres in Fullerton, California. The first newspaper of the college was called The Weekly Torch and was introduced in 1923.

Fullerton College offers around 90 degree programs and more than 100 certificate programs. Some of the academic departments of the college are the philosophy department, history department, electronics department and computer science department.

The athletic teams of FC are popularly known as the Hornets. The men’s teams include baseball, basketball, water polo, cross country, swimming, soccer, tennis, and football. The women’s teams include badminton, soccer, golf, tennis, softball, volleyball, water polo, swimming and basketball.
