Gadsden State Community College

Gadsden State Community College was established on July 8, 2003. It was established by the consolidation of Gadsden State Community College and Harry M. Ayers State Technical College. This public community college has six campuses, the Wallace Drive Campus, Ayers Campus, East Broad Campus, Gadsden State Cherokee, Valley Street Campus and the McClellan Center.

GSCC offers a wide variety of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study. The academic units of the college are organized into various divisions, including the Alabama Language Institute, the division of applied technology, the health sciences division, the math and engineering division and the science and aquatic science division.

GSCC is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association and participates in various sports such as men's basketball, women's softball, tennis, women's basketball, men's baseball, women's cross country and women's volleyball. GSCC's teams are nicknamed the Gadsden State Cardinals.
