Gainesville State College is a state college located in Oakwood, Georgia. It was established in 1964 as a unit of the University System of Georgia. The college enrolls more than 6,000 students every semester.
The student life at GSC is diverse and active. Its students can take part in any of several student activities, such as intramurals, clubs and organizations. Some of the on campus student organizations are Baptist Collegiate Ministries, Future Heath Professionals, Debate Club, Education Club and Anime Club. GSC is also a member of the Gainesville Theatre Alliance.
