Overview

In 1963, Gaston College received a charter from the State of North Carolina and began offering its first classes. The university center at Gaston College was established in 1990 with help from The University of North Carolina.

Each term, Gaston College enrolls more than 5,000 students. The college also offers online courses for its students. There are various student organizations in the field of sports, academics and recreation.
