George C Wallace Community College-Dothan

Wallace State Community College, also referred to as Wallace State, is located in Hanceville, Alabama, United States. It was established in the year 1966. The college was named after George C. Wallace, former Alabama governor. The campus spreads over an area of more than 250 acres. It enrolls more than 6,000 students on an annual basis. Wallace State offers its students over 50 programs of study in health services and other technical and academic fields.

Wallace State has many student clubs and organizations including the Concert Choir, Health Care Information Club, International Language Club, Phi Theta Kappa, and Wallace State Art Society. Students publish a newspaper called “The Mane Issue.” Both male and female students of Wallace State Community College participate in sports such as basketball, baseball, golf, soccer, and softball.
