George C Wallace State Community College-Selma

George C Wallace State Community College is located in the small town of Selma, Alabama, United States. It was established in 1947 as George C. Wallace State Technical Trade School. It was renamed to George C. Wallace State Vocational Trade School in 1955 and to George C. Wallace State Technical Junior College on May 3, 1963. It became a community college in 1969 and adopted its current name. This community college offers associate degrees in various fields. The campus comprises of more than 40 buildings and spreads across an area of approximately 250 acres.

George C Wallace State Community College has officially recognized a number of student organizations such as the Art Club, Diplomats, Sigma Kappa Delta, Association of Student Practical Nursing, Student Government Association, Wallace Choir, and Society of Physics Students.

George C Wallace State Community College is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and competes in the Alabama Junior College Conference.
