Overview

George Fox University, or GFU, is situated in Newberg, Oregon, United States. It was established in 1885. GFU was founded as a college for Quakers (Religious Society of Friends). Presently, the institute offers enrollment to more than 3,000 students.

The main campus of George Fox University spreads across an area of 85 acres. The institute also has satellite sites in Newberg, Portland, Salem, Boise, and Redmond. George Fox University offers bachelor degrees in over 40 majors. The university is organized into numerous academic departments including biology, visual arts, engineering, and chemistry.

George Fox University has an active student life and hosts numerous clubs and organizations for the overall development of its students. GFU’s student body is diverse and enrolls many international students every year. The university competes in the NCAA Division III in the Northwest Conference. The athletic teams are known as the Bruins.
