Overview
Georgia Military college Atlanta campus is a part of the Georgia Military College. It is also known as GMC Atlanta and is located in Fort McPherson, Georgia. The college was founded in 1879 as Middle Georgia Military and Agricultural College. In 1900, the name of the college changed to its current name. It is a liberal arts junior college and has several campuses in Georgia. The college offers associate’s degrees in a number of areas of study such as business administration, education, logistics management and computer information systems.
Students at Georgia Military College are also involved in clubs and organizations such as Phi Theta Kappa, and The Student Government Association. The Students Activities Committee conducts several events for the recreation of students such as drama, athletics and alumni affairs.
