Georgia Southwestern State University is situated in Americus, Georgia, United States. It was established in 1906 and is under the University System of Georgia. Initially, it was known as the Third Agricultural and Mechanical School. After a few name and status changes, it became a university in the year 1996. Georgia Southwestern State University has the following degree-granting academic divisions:
