About Globe College

Formerly known as Globe College, the school, founded in 1885 is now Globe University/Minnesota School of Business. The University emphasizes hands-on training in small group settings. With twelve campuses across Minnesota plus an option for online class work, the College allows students to participate on site, online or a blend of both.

Globe College Academic Programs

The school is accredited to offer Master's certificates, undergraduate degrees, and diplomas. The curriculum focuses on Business, Information Technology, Creative Production and Legal Science. All the courses are career-focused with an emphasis on enhancing the participant's professional credentials.

Program areas include:

  • Business – Program options include accounting, which offers a variety of concentrations. Coursework starts with the foundation of basic accounting knowledge and offers approximately two dozen courses in the major. Some programs qualify individuals for Minnesota Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam and national Certified Management Accounting (CMA) exam. The Business Administration degree programs train participants for entry-level positions in a variety of career options in the business field. The Bachelor of Science in Business Management is set up to emphasize leadership and supervision in specific business arenas. Bachelor of Science in Media Business provides technical and business courses to students who have already earned and associate degrees in creative production. Associate Degrees in Business improve a candidate's employability in Sales and Marketing, Music and Transportation.
  • Information Technology – Tracks include Information Technology, Programming, and Game Design. IT certification preparation, Networking and Security, Business Application Programming, and Information Technology courses are focused on providing graduates with marketable IT skills.
  • Multimedia/Creative – Programs cover:Interactive Media, Graphic Design, and Video and Media Production.
  • Health Science – Health science modules at the school include: Health care management, Nursing, Veterinary Technology, Personal training, Massage Therapy and Medical Assisting
  • Legal Science – Paralegal Studies programs train students in legal research, interviewing skills and document preparation. The Criminal Justice program prepares individuals for entry-level careers in law enforcement, the court system, corrections and security agencies. People who complete the Legal Administrative Assistant program will have developed advanced communication skills as well as a variety of office administrative skills.

Admissions representatives help applicants with the entire online application process. Distance learning students can obtain help with the process online.

University financial aid coordinators help eligible students through the required application procedures. Opportunities for assistance may be available from grants, scholarships and student loans.
