Overview

Gordon College is a state college located in Barnesville, Georgia, United States. It was originally established in 1852 as a seminary. The college offers associate degrees and bachelor degrees in diverse areas of study. Gordon is part of the University System of Georgia. The main campus includes more than 25 buildings spread across an area of 125 acres.

Gordon College has an active student life. The campus is home to several student clubs and organizations. The college’s athletic department fields several men’s and women’s sports teams including basketball, soccer, tennis, and racquetball. The sports teams compete in the Georgia Junior College Athletic Association and the National Junior College Athletic Association. The teams are nicknamed the Highlanders.
