Graduate Theological Union, also called GTU, is a partnership of various graduate schools and seminaries across the United States. Founded in 1962, it is located in Berkeley, California. The institution offers Ph. D, Th. D, and M.A. degrees in several fields of religion and theology, including Biblical Languages, Jewish Studies, Buddhist Studies, and Orthodox Christian Studies through its member schools and institutions. Apart from these study programs, the Union also provides summer courses and various other certification programs to students.
The campus of the Graduate Theological Union is home to several student unions and religious organizations, including The Beatitudes Society, The Theological Roundtable on Ecological Ethics and Spirituality (TREES), The GTU Korean Student Association (GTU KSA), and The Evangelical Round Table.
