Overview

Grand Rapids Community College, also known as GRCC, was established in 1914 by the Grand Rapids Board of Education. There are several academic departments in the college including biological science, interior decorating and design, performing arts (music and theatre), and criminal justice. The degree and certificate programs offered by GRCC are divided into two schools:

  • School of Arts & Sciences
  • School of Workforce Development

Some of the clubs and organizations run by GRCC students are the African Student Organization, Computer Club, Native American Organization, Delta Pi Alpha Honor Society, Fashion and Design Club, International Student Organization, and Raider Dance Team.

The athletic teams of GRCC are known as the Raiders. The men’s sports include basketball, golf, baseball, tennis and football. The women’s sports include softball, volleyball, basketball, and tennis.
