Overview

Green Mountain College, also known as GMC, is a co-educational, private liberal arts college situated in Poultney, Vermont, United States. It was originally established as Troy Conference Academy in 1834. The campus is spread across an area of 155 acres. The college offers a wide variety of degrees, programs and majors. It also offers several courses known as the Environmental Liberal Arts (ELA) curriculum.

The campus of Green Mountain College hosts several student clubs and organizations. Some of the popular student clubs include African American Culture Club, Green Mountain Otaku: Anime Club, International Awareness Club, and Intercultural Center (ICC). The college also runs a student operated newspaper known as ‘The Mountaineer’. Reverie is the literary magazine of the college. The student body is impressive and includes many international students.
