Overview
Grinnell College is a private arts college located in Grinnell, lowa, United States. It was founded in 1846. The campus spreads across 120 acres of land and has more than 60 buildings. The College provides Bachelor degrees in more than 25 major departments. It also provides several interdisciplinary concentrations. The student enrollment consists of more than 10% of international students. It also has programs that provide students opportunities to study abroad.
Grinnell College has an active student life. It houses more than 275 registered student clubs and organizations. These include the Adventure Sewer Explorers, Alpine Club, Arts and Crafts Club, and Catholic Students Association, among others. The college's athlete teams are called the Pioneers, and they compete in sports such as water-polo, ultimate, and rugby union. The institution is home to a student-run newspaper known as "The Scarlet and the Black," and a radio station called KDIC.
