Overview

Grossmont College is a community college located in El Cajon, California, United States. It was established in 1961. Grossmont College, along with Cuyamaca College, makes up the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District (GCCCD). The college was voted San Diego's Best community college in polls conducted by the San Diego Union Tribune newspaper in 2004, 2007, and 2008.

The athletic department of the college fields many men’s and women’s athletic teams including baseball, basketball, volleyball, soccer, and water polo. The sports teams of Grossmont are nicknamed the Griffins. 'The Summit' is the newspaper for Grossmont College. It also has a radio station known as KGFN.

The student body of Grossmont College has an impressive number of international students. Grossmont College is home to various student clubs and organizations including the international club, Native American student alliance (NASA), and fellowship of Christian athletes, to name a few.
