Overview

Grove City College, also known as GCC, is located in Grove City, Pennsylvania, United States, a town of 8000 residents about 60 miles north of Pittsburgh. It was established in 1876 by Isaac C. Ketler. The original name of the college was Pine Grove Normal Academy. The school describes itself as a private Christian college of liberal arts and sciences. Students can choose from the many academic programs offered by the college including liberal arts, mechanical engineering, business, accounting, physical education, electrical and computer engineering. The campus is situated on more than 150 landscaped acres.

GCC hosts a number of clubs and organizations for students including Alpha Mu Gamma, College Democrats, Campus Crusade for Christ, Kappa Delta Pi, Phi Alpha Theta, and Student Musicians Organization. The students of GCC compete in different sports including basketball, swimming, softball, baseball, track and field, golf, water polo, volleyball, tennis, cross country, football, and soccer.

GCC reports that its financial aid program is designed to admit students based on their qualifications and not their financial situation. As part of its program, the college does not accept any direct or indirect Federal financial aid but does accept financial aid via some state programs.
