Overview

Gwinnett Technical College, Gwinnett Tech, opened its doors in 1984, and is located in Lawrenceville, Georgia. The college originally initiated as Gwinnett Area Technical School, has undergone several name changes; it was given its current name on July 6, 2000.

Gwinnett Tech is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It presently confers associate of applied science degrees. It also offers numerous diploma program options and certificates to its students.

Gwinnett Technical College hosts numerous clubs and organizations. Some of them are Delta Epsilon Chi, Phi Beta Lambda (PBL), Skills USA-VICA and Voices of the World. The college opened D. Scott Hudgens, Jr.Early Education Center in 2006. It is the latest live learning lab of the college.
