Hardin-Simmons University, also referred to as HSU, is located in Abilene, Texas, United States. It was founded in 1891 by the Sweetwater Baptist Association and was originally known as Abilene Baptist College. It was granted university status in the year 1925. The university is divided into several schools and colleges. These are:
