Hartford Seminary, located in Hartford, Connecticut, was founded by Congregationalists in 1833. They formed the Pastoral Union of Connecticut in order to train ministerial leaders for the church. Hartford Seminary offers graduate certificates in the fields of religious studies, Islamic chaplaincy, theology & ethics and spirituality. It also confers Master of Arts and Doctor of Ministry degrees. The seminary is comprised of three main academic centers:
- Center for Faith in Practice
- Duncan Black Macdonald Center
- Hartford Institute for Religion Research
Hartford Seminary offers financial aid to its students in the form of several need-based aids and grants. Apart from this, students can also earn scholarships according to their merit.
