Hartnell College

Hartnell Community College, also known as Hartnell, is a two-year, community college located in Salinas, California, United States. It was founded in the year 1920 as Salinas Junior College and renamed in 1948 to Hartnell Community College.

Hartnell Community College offers an array of degrees and programs in diverse areas of study. The college enrolls more than 9,000 students each term. The student body at Hartnell is ethnic and diverse. It includes 52% Latino, 33% White, 5% Asian, 5% Filipino, 3% Black, 1% Native American students, and 1% other minorities.

The college is home to various student clubs and organizations including the Hartnell Fine Arts Club, International Students Association, MESA Rocket Club, and Political Science Club. The official mascot of Hartnell is the Black Panther.
