Overview
Harvey Mudd College, HMC is a liberal arts college in Claremont, California that was chartered in 1955 and opened its doors in 1957. Departmental programs of HMC include chemistry, biology, engineering, computer science, physics, physical education, mathematics, and humanities and social science. HMC’s campus is spread across more than 40 acres.
Harvey Mudd College is home to numerous clubs and organizations such as The Society for the Advancement of Latino Scientific Achievement (SALSA), Friday Night Movie Guys (FNMG), Harvey Wallbangers Climbing Club (HWCC), and the National Society of Black Engineers.
Many students of HMC have gone on to become famous including Eric B. Kim, Chief Marketing Officer of Intel; Michael G. Wilson, producer of the James Bond series of films; and Jonathan Gay, creator of Flash software. HMC has a diverse student body with representatives from 25 foreign countries and more than 45 states.
