Overview

Hastings College, established in 1882 is a private, co-educational, Presbyterian liberal arts college sitting on a 109-acre campus in Hastings, Nebraska. Hastings College's recent enrollments have been more than 1,000 students every year.

The college offers the liberal arts program of study, and the personalized program of study. Students can opt for courses in art, biology, business, history, computer science, mathematics, music, nursing, psychology, religion, religion, women’s and gender studies, and teacher education, among others.

Hastings College supports a large number of clubs and organization. Students are members of fraternities such as the Beta Chi, Eta Phi Lambda, Psi Theta Epsilon, and Tau Beta Alpha, and sororities like Alpha Phi Sigma, Alpha Delta Alpha, Alpha Omega, and Chi Omega Psi. There are several other clubs including the Hastings College Democrats, Multicultural Student Union, Outdoor Club, Rodeo Club, and Habitat For Humanity. The college was placed on the list of the U.S. News & World Report, America's Best Colleges 2007. Princeton Review also ranked Hastings College among the best colleges in the Midwestern region.
