Overview

Heart of Georgia Technical College, also known as HGTC, is located in Dublin, Georgia, United States. It was established in 1980 as a technical school. The first classes were held on March 26, 1984. The college adopted its current name in October 2000. The main campus covers more than 65 acres of land. In addition to its main campus, the college operates the Little Ocmulgee Instructional Center, which is located in Helena, Georgia. HGTC acquired this campus in July 2001.

HGTC is home to a number of student clubs and organizations. Some of the on-campus student organizations are the Student Government Association, National Technical Honor Society, Student Practical Nurses Association, Skills USA, Phi Beta Lambda, Respiratory Educational Student Practitioners, and BRIDGE Club.
