Overview
Henderson State University, also referred to as HSU, is located in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, United States. The university was established in the year 1890. It was originally known as the Arkadelphia Methodist College. It is the second oldest university under the control of the state. The campus spreads across 145 acres of land. HSU offers its students a variety of degree and certificate programs in arts and sciences. The university has the following schools and colleges under it:

The students of HSU have access to a large number of student organizations including the Student Nursing Association, Kappa Kappa Psi, Order of Omega, Alpha Chi, and Reddies for Christ. The students operate an on-campus radio station called KSWH-FM 91.1 and also publish a newspaper titled “The Oracle.” Both male and the female students participate in sports such as basketball, swimming, softball, and golf. The sports teams are known as the Reddies.
