Overview

Hillsborough Community College, also known as HCC, is a two-year community college located in Hillsborough County, Florida, United States. It was founded in 1968. It is part of the Florida community college system. The college has several campuses which include Brandon, Dale Mabry, Plant City, Ybor City, and MacDill AFB. The administrative headquarters are located on Davis Islands, near downtown Tampa.

In January 2008, HCC opened its first residence hall, Hawk's Landing, named after the school mascot. HCC is one of a few community colleges that has its own residence hall.

The athletic department of HCC is home to both women’s and men’s sports teams. They participate in several sports such as baseball, basketball, softball, tennis, and volleyball. Some of the notable alumni are Keith Brumbaugh, NBA Basketball prospect, and Geoffrey Giuliano, American author, radio personality, and film actor.
