Hinds Community College

Hinds Community College, also known as Hinds CC, was founded in 1917 as a small agricultural high school. The college had 117 students and eight faculty members in its initial year. In 1922 it became Hinds Junior College and merged with Utica Junior College, a historically black junior college, in 1982. The college adopted its present name in 1987. The main campus is located in Raymond, Mississippi.

Some of the academic divisions of Hinds CC are banking and finance technology, computer programming technology, international program, and telecommunications technology. The college offers many scholarships including the Datatel Scholars Foundation, Music and Band Scholarships, Trustmark National Bank Scholarships, ACT Scholarship, and many more.

The athletic teams of Hinds CC are known as the Eagles. The men’s teams include football, baseball, track, soccer, basketball, golf, and tennis. The women’s teams include softball, basketball, tennis, and soccer.
