Hood College

Hood College is located in Frederick, Maryland, United States. It was established in 1893 and was initially known as the Women’s College of Frederick. The Potomac Synod of the Reformed Church of the United States played a vital role in the establishment of this college. The college's campus spreads over an area of approximately 50 acres. Degrees and certificate programs are offered to students in many areas of study including environmental science, economics, religion, management, social work, and mathematics.

Students of Hood College have access to a large number of student clubs and organizations. Some of these are the Least Squares Math Club, Public Relations Student Society of America, Black Student Union, Student Government Association, Hood College Republicans, and Gospel Ensemble.
