Overview

Horry-Georgetown Technical College was founded 1961 as the Horry-Marion-Georgetown Technical Education Center. Its first classes were held in 1966. It is the 4th largest Technical College in South Carolina. The campus of HGTC comprises around 13 buildings and is spread across an area of over 50 acres in Conway, South Carolina. In addition, the college has campuses in Georgetown and Myrtle Beach. It offers more than 70 degrees and certificate programs in the following academic units:
