Overview

Houghton College was founded in 1883 by Willard J. Houghton. It is a private college of liberal arts located in Houghton, New York. The main campus of the college is spread across an area of 1300 acres. The Houghton College also has campus extensions located at Adirondack Park, Australia, London, and Tanzania. The institute offers baccalaureate’s degrees in over 45 fields as well as several master’s degrees. There are various adult education programs too and opportunities of studying abroad are also provided.

Houghton College has an active student life and offers a number of clubs and organizations. Some of the popular organizations are Equestrian Club, Global Christian Fellowship, and Youth for Christ. The Student Government Association also operates actively in the college.
